Today dragons , I'd like to start by saying thank all of you.

You all have stuck around through thick and thin , and while keeping the dragons alive through your friendships, and in keeping 1 important thing in mind. . . Your here to have fun! Over the last few years I've seen many friends come and go for many different reasons. I have come to understand that my position as a godfather , and the creator of this wonderful family can be very time consuming, and more than I can provide alone. There has been many times in the last few years that I've had to be away, sometimes for months at a time. In those times while I was away there have been many courageous, smart, and even some with great leadership qualities in officers who have continued on with their efforts to make this a better family, and some who have left. I believe this to be do too my eagerness to get out and help. While I'm away I feel bad I'm not doing anything, so when I have a chance, I jump on board going changing pages, doing this and that,and all while being in a hurry without thinking I'm stepping on toes. Although as it turns out, I was doing just that. To those of you that felt that way, I am deeply sorry. Please no that was not my intention.

I've learned you have to make mistakes, and without mistakes you cannot learn!

I have also learned that many of you even though you have left our tag, you are still very much in hearts and lives and I'd like to thank you for that as well. I would like for our family to continue on and grow stronger everyday. In order to do that we need all of our family to come together, chat together and have fun. It's all about friend's and fun here. I don't care about titles. or how strong you are. Only that you wanna grow, and have fun as a team.

I now have access right at my hands to all ways of communication. And although it may be tough for me personally to play the game click by click. I'm here to help! Please all dragons send me a chat and say hi.

The Dragon Storm is Raging Again!

Hello to all of our Dragons!!! We would like to thank you all for joining us on our web page. Currently, the creator is out of pocket with computer and life issues, so there will not be much changing on it for a while. We will continue to put out newsletters through the blog however, so stop by regularly and go through our Archived newsletters to see what you can dig up!


CUBA IS CLOSED!!!! (The Neo-Imperium has struck a viscous blow!)......
Cuba has been closed and it appears that Moscow will be next. Since people who have not completed it can still do jobs in Cuba, we have to assume that this process may be just so they can add new tiers/jobs to the countries related to overthrowing the "Neo-Imperium"... at least, that is the best guess at the moment.

We have been adding members to our family recently and have gotten some really active players, which always puts a spark in the family. Please make sure that you stay on top of adding new (and old) family members to your mafia so that when you or they need a hand, there are no problems in doing so. Remember, the more active you are with the family the more active they will be with you in return!

We are still in the hunt for a good mock war for us to participate in, and have had several requests that have still not panned out. Hopefully soon we will have a group or two who will be willing to join us for a weekend of fun.

RECRUITMENT IS OPEN!!! (but only for those willing to help out and be active!!)...
We are taking new recruits into our ranks at the present time, so if you know someone who you would like to see with us, just refer them to Kaye Humble or William Eback for Recruitment purposes. Also, send them to the Roll Call link so they can fill it out. Make sure that anyone whom you may refer ADDS ALL OFFICERS FIRST if they wish to join!!! We have got to be able to answer their questions and can't easily do that if they do not have us as friends... but we are NOT going to hunt down someone to add us. If they do not want to do that simple thing, then they will not want to do what is necessary to make us a fantastic family to be a part of, it is that simple.

OFFICER RECRUITMENT (but NOT for the faint of heart!!)...
We have openings for quite a few more officers to be able to divide up some of the required work load. If you are interested in joining our Officer Corps, then please get in contact with one of us and let us know. You WILL be checked out very thoroughly to make sure that we will not be wasting your time and you will not be wasting our time. If you can not be loyal to this family 100% then you need not even consider the positions available. Speaking of positions, we have positions available for : Alliance Officers, Training Officers, Attack Squad Officers, and Page Officers. If one of these sounds to your liking then let us know. Remember though, you will be expected to help in whatever capacity you may be needed at times, in addition to your usual position. We are here to help each other and that includes officers.

[TDSM] HELP CENTER GROUP
As many of you know, we have started a group page in facebook to allow us to send assistance requests, loot requests, and all sorts of information to JUST our family. It has been an outstanding success when it comes to helping one another and having a much more socially interactive gaming experience with Mafia Wars. HOWEVER, there are many who could not be added by us due to what can only be assumed to be their SECURITY SETTINGS. We get a message that "this individual could not be added" and that person is missing out on our fun. Please check your settings to allow us to add you to our group, or at least try to locate our group and request to join!

If you have just become a new member, welcome to The Dragon Storm Mafia, and thank-you for joining. Whether you are new or not to the clan, we welcome you to join in the fun with the family as much as possible.We aim to be honorable, respectful , show our loyalty , and be honest and above board in every conversation with each other and other mafia's we deal with, be it mock wars, etc. If you haven't added all officers at this time, please do so as soon as you can. Speaking of mock wars, we are not a war group, but we do have practice(mock war), in case there is a war with someone, so we will know what to do. These help your character grow also. We are now in the process of having just such an occurence. Be in tune and check your Facebook email, recruitment page , or webpage for more info. If you would like to be a member of the page, it is free to sign up, but you must be a [TDSM] Tagged member or alliance member and you must be on our Roll Call to qualify. The drop-down roll-call page is located on the home tab there. Just mouse over 'Home' for the page. If you would like to tag, there is an application there also. Web Page

Our web page has seen an increased volume of visitors and would like to thank those of you who have chosen to stop by and see what we have to offer. Ralph Trolian was the winner of the Sniper Scope giveaway on Dec.25th by correctly identifying how many of our allies are listed in blue on our web page. THANK YOU RALPH, and thanks to those who participated. Shortly, those of you who sent in your answers (all were correct) will get a few items as a "thanks" for taking the time to participate. In the future we will have more of these events, especially for those of our family who are at the lower levels, so please keep your eyes open for the invitations. Member of the Month

We are looking for nominations for Member of the Month from our family members. This nomination process is NOT to include current officers and is for the benefit of our tagged members. Please show support for our family by nominating someone that you feel deserves to be recognized for their family participation. We hope that every one of you are nominated and will soon post our closure date for the nomination process. Intelligence for Mafia Wars

You can get a lot of wish list items by placing what you want on the list, and then sending and receiving Mystery Bags and clicking on things such as Uniform/Assassin gifts which are no good for those jobs anymore, but WILL give you a random item!!! If you have items you need on your wish list, there is a chance of getting those items randomly. Here is the info on how to get two special weapons...

1. GO to inventory page and ensure that you have two open slots available on the Wsih List.
2. Select Filter.
3. Under the Items, select "I don't Own"; Under type please select "weapons and vehicles"
...4. Under quality select "ultimate";Leave the last box alone
5. You need to search through the items list for the Jackel ATV and the New Years Resolution. Once you find these items, click on the + sign to add that item to your wish list, and then go through all of your old gifts and mystery bags to try to get the items to drop for you.
(Jackal ATV: 50/67,New Years Resolution: 69/46)

INTRODUCING "MISSION CONTROL" !!!!
It is proven that the missions currently available in Mafia Wars are the easiest and
quickest way to increase your player's strength. For that reason, we have began a new discussion on our Recruitment page that is exclusively for the posting of all missions that family members need help in. We hope that you post there first to give as many of your fellow [TDSM] family members the chance to join as possible. The first image above shows a highlighted area. This area is where you place your cursor and RIGHT click, then you will see a drop down menu appear. On this menu that appears, click on the COPY LINK LOCATION. After that, proceed to our discussion area (in blue above) and paste the copied link there.

Mock War and War Training
We would like to say Thank You to all of our allies and friends who recently participated in our Mock War with [BDM]. It was a lot of fun, and everyone benefitted from the experience points and loot gained. We are currently calculating the wins to see who the winners of each category are. For those in the [TDSM] family who did not participate, you missed an excellent opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a war (luckily, this one was friendly, haha). We know that
a lot of you do not like to be involved in wars or conflicts, however, being tagged with a family brings with it that possibility, as well as the benefit of protection should you need it. Therefore, it is beneficial to the whole family if everyone takes a few moments of their game time to learn how a war works so that should we have to stand up for our own we will be able to put forth
the strongest response possible. FOR THOSE FAMILY MEMBERS WHO CONTACT DAVID LEE OR ANOTHER OFFICER TO REQUEST INFORMATION ON HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN A WAR, WE WILL BE GIFTING NUMEROUS HIGH END LOOT ITEMS TO ASSIST YOU WITH YOUR FIGHT STRENGTH.

-- Please accept gifts as soon as possible so that your friends can send more gifts, because if you do not accept them right away, you will be excluded from their gift-sending list for a full 24 hours after they sent the last gift.
-- In Bangkok, In Episodes 1-5, when you complete them, you can sell your loot. After completing Episode 6 and 7, can share some loot. When Episode 6 is finished and you complete Chapter 1 of Episode 7 (for the fourth time), SELL THE LORRIES and SEUX MACHINE guns, this gives you 9 million Bhat, which will be needed for future levels!!

REMINDERS
All family members are asked to please add all officers by sending friend requests that include a personal message stating, "[TDSM] request", so that we all know you are a family member and do not ignore the request accidentally. If you can not find the links to add the officers for
some reason, or do not know how, please contact an officer and we will help you.

Welcome to the Holiday Season, we here at [TDSM] wish you and your family the best and safest celebrations possible.

Please join our webpage so you can contact us whenever you may have need. Our webpage has direct-contact chat, direct links to all of our pages, and archives of our previous newsletters. In the images above, you will see the methods used for direct contact with the [TDSM] godfather and soon, the entire officer corps. You MUST be a tagged member to join the website, and then all you have to do is enter the site, click on "Contact Us", and enter whatever name you wish, then simply click "Chat" beside where you entered your name. We would like to also invite everyone to join Skype (it is a free download and it is easy to as the questions that you have always wondered about concerning Mafia Wars), and most every day at least one of our officers would be available to help answer your questions or give you assistance. There will soon be an Easy Add feature in our website (currently being worked on by the godfather) which will allow any family member to add other members to their mafia with ease. Look for it to be active soon.

On the 26th of November, there will be a Mock War between [BDM] and [TDSM] to test the strength of our families and get more family members on both sides active. It is an OPEN Mock War, where anyone can join, all you have to do is sign up and pick a side (hopefully [TDSM] :-) ). Our goal is to determine just how many family members from each clan will participate in events so we can create more events of the appropriate scope to be enjoyable by all. For that reason, we need as many of our family members to show up as possible for the event. This event starts at 12:01 A.M. (PST) on Friday, November 26, 2010 and ends at 11:59 P.M. (PST) on Sunday, November 28, 2010. It is NOT necessary to play for the full duration of the War, however if you do it will increase your odds of winning some very nice items and it IS important that all of our family show SOME presence so that we can calculate win/loss potential for the family. There will be winners from every category, 1-100, 101-200, etc., and first, second, and third in each. IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN A PART OF A MOCK WAR AND ARE NERVOUS, PLEASE DO NOT BE! We are here to help you learn what you may need to know to fully enjoy the activites within Mafia Wars and the [TDSM] family. Please, just enroll on the Sign-Up Form , and meet us in skype or contact us
via Facebook messaging for assistance.

This weekend there will be an open Mock War event called Angels and Demons that is open to all people. It would be a great way to gain experience that would lead to more family activity and fun, which is our goal.

We have added new officers lately and need to remind you that ALL OFFICERS OF [TDSM] MUST BE ADDED TO YOUR FRIENDS, AND IN YOUR FRIENDS REQUEST
YOU MUST SPECIFY : "THIS IS A [TDSM] ADD REQUEST". It is easier for each of our family to add 5 or 6 officers than it is for the few officers to add 40 or 50 different individuals. We are also seeking more individuals to fill officer positions, so if any of you are interest, or even just have questions about an officer position, please contact us. For those of the family who have chosen to utilize the various scripts that are floating around the net to help in MW, please remember that
if you choose to use them, you may be penalized by Zynga, up to, and including, closure of your MW account. A new program used by Zynga is
called CAPTCHA, and it logs Brawler users who have their times set too low. If you chose to use Brawler (use is NOT being endorsed by [TDSM])
then you need to ensure that you set your times to range from 5-8 seconds between attacks, and this still does NOT ensure that your activities
will not be logged at Zynga. So, be wise in your choices, and good luck. (Thanks to Peter White for this contribution)

Mafia Wars Tips and Tricks

To almost double the gifts that you receive, ESPECIALLY on the jobs like Infiltrating the Pentagon and Special Assassins, make sure that you
accept your gifts from the e-mail alerts (the envelope to the upper right of the mafia wars screen) FIRST, and once they have been accepted there
then you proceed to your game requests on your Facebook home page, where you can accept MOST items again, making it DOUBLE the fun! This technique
really makes it quick and easy to complete the collections that Zynga has been throwing at us lately. (Thanks to Peter White for this contribution).

Consumables Requests

As you all know, one of the most burdensome parts of completing ANY tier in Mafia Wars is having to replay portions that you have already completed just to acquire the necessary consumables to move ahead. We have all experienced that headache, and can feel the pain of others when they have to use multiple packs of energy just to make a little headway in the game. For that reason, we here at [TDSM] are requesting that ALL family members who
have spare consumables left over and have no further use for them, PLEASE HELP THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY, and send them to another of us who is struggling to move forward. If you have extra items that you no longer need, please contact David Lee at his profile page, or leave a message for us on our Recruitment page . We thank you, and the Family thanks you!
